TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The acceptance by us of an order is on the understanding that the following Conditions of Sale are accepted.
STOCK
Every effort is made to keep all stock true to name and free from pests and disease. No plants are guaranteed to flower during the year of purchase. Our liability for plants supplied is limited to the replacement of those plants, or, at our option, to a refund of the price paid. All other claims, including those for consequential loss, are hereby excluded.
ORDERS
Orders are accepted subject to goods being unsold and to crop shortages or failure, howsoever caused
MINIMUM ORDER PER VARIETY
The minimum order, per variety for 'Swiftplugs', for full trays is 60 plants, e.g. 1 x HRH60. Please indicate any substitutes that any be acceptable in case any varieties are not available. Unless otherwise instructed we reserve the right to substitute at our discretion.
MINIMUM ORDER ACCEPTED
The minimum order for 'Swiftplugs' is 1 outer which contains 8 x 60 plugs, which in turn contains 480 plants. The quantity of outers is limitless.
PRICES AND VAT
All good are sold at prices ruling at the date of dispatch. All prices include delivery unless otherwise stated. Cost of deliveries to any off shore island, some Scottish mainland, including export orders, will be quoted for separately. All prices are exclusive of VAT except our selection collections. Herbs are zero rated.
PAYMENTS
No money should be sent with orders unless requested. E.g. with our selections which include carriage and VAT. Unless other arrangements have been made for payment, a PROFORMA INVOICE (this is an invoice requiring prepayment before goods are released) will be sent, this will show only those plants ready to be dispatched plus VAT & Carriage (If applicable). It is in your own interest to return your remittance as soon as possible as we only hold the plants for 5 DAYS
PACKAGING AND DELIVERY CHARGES
Plants sent by carrier are shelf layer packed, in specially designed Cardboard Boxes, growing in the cell trays and are dispatched on a Next Day Service (Scotland and off shore Islands 2/3 days.) to ensure plants are received in good condition. Delivery is inclusive in the price listed, unfortunately a fuel surcharge of £1.03 per consignment will be made. Cost of deliveries to any off shore island and some Scottish mainland, including export orders, will be quoted for separately.
DAMAGE AND COMPLAINTS
Any damage, shortage or pilferage must be reported to us, and the carriers IN WRITING, within 3 DAYS of delivery. It is essential the Carrier's delivery note is NOT signed if the consignment is damaged, sign as DAMAGED. No refunds or responsibility will be accepted if this condition is not adhered to. Damaged goods and/or complaints should be made in writing within and/or complaints should be made in writing within 3 DAYS and retained for inspection if required.
COLLECTION FROM THE NURSERY
If you are prepared to "Help Yourself" on a cash and carry basis, then a telephone call prior to leaving home will let us know you are coming, but you must accept that the plants collected on a self-help basis are in their raw state, for this we offer a 10% discount. Trays will not be checked for numbers or quality and no responsibility will be accepted for either quantity or quality. Alternatively if your order is placed and we 'pick' your order of full trays we offer a 5% discount. If part trays are required please telephone the office for details.
Opening hours for collections are from 8.30am to 2.00pm.
