Plug Plants Compost

SEED & MODULAR COMPOST

Potting compost should be a blend of screened and graded Sphagnum Moss Peat, with even particle size to maintain the highest air-filled porosity (AFP).
There should be sufficient nutrients and wetting agent to make an ideal medium for successful sowing and propagation of seeds and cuttings.
The pH value should be approximate 5.5
The moisture content should be approximate 65% and the AFP should be approximate 10/11.

POTTING COMPOST

Should be a blend Sphagnum Moss Peat that provides a good stability and adequate air filled porosity. (AFP) It should also have a well-balanced feed content and trace elements allowing for healthy growth for a wide variety of small plants.
It should also contain an added wetting agent to assist the re-wetting and drainage of the compost.
The pH value should be approximate 5.5
The moisture content should be approximate 50% and the AFP should be approximate 13/14.

POTTING WITH CLAY COMPOST

Should be a blend medium Sphagnum Moss Peat that will provide good stability and adequate air filled porosity (AFP) plus the addition of 5% clay, which acts as a buffer against leaching of nutrients.
It should also have a well-balanced feed content and trace elements allowing for healthy growth. It should also contain added wetting agents to assist the re-wetting and drainage.
The pH value should be approximate 5.5
The moisture content should be approximate 50% and the AFP should be approximate 14/15.

ERICACEOUS COMPOST

Should be a blend of medium Sphagnum Moss Peat especially formulated for lime-hating plants, providing good stability and adequate air-filled porosity (AFP).
It should also have a well-balanced feed content and trace elements allowing the healthy growth of ericaceous varieties.
It should also contain added wetting agents to assist in the re-wetting and drainage
The pH value should be approximate 4.8
The moisture content should be approximate 50% and the AFP should be approximate 16/18.
